This website is a homage to the wonderful world of toy soldiers. My enthusiasm for toy soldiers goes back to my childhood when I got Britains sets for Christmas and birthdays, as well as plastic figures and siege equipment made by the German firms Elastolin and Merten. Back then, you could still see lots of shiny new boxes of Britains displayed on store shelves with price tags of well under five dollars-those were the days! I began collecting as an adult thirty years ago after purchasing a friend's collection and then started buying from dealer lists, at shows, fairs and auctions. I also collect toy soldier books(esp. about Britains), catalogs and have even written articles about toy soldiers(including for Old Toy Soldier magazine). It's a fun, fascinating hobby but like all collecting endeavors, it can be addicting!
